Design of Wireless Monitoring System for Environment Monitoring in Greenhouse Cultivation

A wireless monitoring system was set up in greenhouse at Xining city, Qinghai province, for the application of WSN in greenhouse environment monitoring. Within the system, one type of sensing node and one type of gateway were designed and developed. The system’s hardware platform was composed of a MSP430F149 micro-processor for data processing and controlling, an AM2301 sensor module for data measurements, an nRF905 transceiver module for data transmission and reception, and a GPRS module for remote data transmission. The wireless routing protocol, time synchronization algorithm and application program were compiled based on C programming language. A WEB mode remote data management platform was developed based on GPRS network, ASP.NET, HTML and C#. The system solved the problems in greenhouse cultivation such as the informatization of greenhouse environment, provided a new method to guarantee safety and high-productivity.
