Emergency evacuation model and algorithm in the building with several exits

Emergency evacuation of a building becomes necessary in case of an accident such as fire.The purpose of evacuation is to evacuate people from the danger zone through exit within the shortest possible time.In this paper we design an algorithm based on the idea which is to send the largest possible number of evacuees on the shortest path to the nearest exit.The algorithm can be realized by updating network. Finally,a numerical example is presented to show the effectiveness and feasibility of this algorithm.
