Calibration Transfer in near Infrared Spectroscopy

Calibration transfer in NIR remains a very important topic and many papers have been published on the subject. Recently, Tom Fearn1 published an excellent review with 100 references and we suggest that readers should consult this paper for more information. Therefore this present article will not be another review but a summary of the lecture given at the Pittsburgh Conference (New Orleans, 21 March 2002) in the framework of the Tomas Hirschfeld Award. It concerns the results of our experience on NIR instrument standardisation. Indeed, we have been running networks of instruments for more than 15 years and calibration transfer was and remains an important subject of our research department.
