Control rod driving system for reactor

PURPOSE: A control rod driving system is provided to simplify the configuration of the system and achieve improved operating reliability of the system. CONSTITUTION: A control rod driving system comprises a control rod control unit for generating instructions on the control of the voltage and/or current which is applied to the coil of the control rod so as to allow for insertion or extraction of the control rod of the reactor, and performing a control operation related to the operation of the control rod; and a power converting unit(90) arranged in the lower hierarchy of the control rod control unit, wherein the power converting unit supplies an electric current to the coil of the control rod in accordance with the instructions generated from the control rod control unit. Each of the control rod control unit and the power converting unit is constituted by an upper hierarchy and a lower hierarchy. Each power converter of the power converting unit is arranged to correspond to each of the control rod. The control rod is arranged to operate independently or in groups in accordance with the instructions generated from the control rod control unit of the upper hierarchy.
