Polymersomes in polymersomes: multiple loading and permeability control.

With such a compartmentalized structure, a mol-ecule encapsulated in the inner liposome, would have topermeate through two successive membranes, instead of asingle one before leaking into the outside environment. Thisdouble-membrane effect was demonstrated by observing theserumhalf-lifeofciprofloxacindrugincreasingfrom10 mininsingle liposomes to 6 h in vesosomes.
