Therefore we need a tool that can provide an early warning of a fire, so the purpose of this research is to design a fire detector based on the Internet of Things to prevent house fires. In designing this system, the software development method used is the prototype method, this method is used because it has prototyping stages that can support the tool-making process. The system created is expected to help overcome or prevent fires in residents' homes, as well as provide information to homeowners who are going to the homeowner's smartphone, and also sound a fire alarm so that residents or residents around the house know that the house is on fire. , so that residents can evacuate their belongings and can also help extinguish the fire in the house. The results of testing tools using the blackbox method have a sensor success rate in detecting that is 90%.
