This paper describes the computer-aided design and physical realization of a 1 GHz bandwidth monolithic integrated differential amplifier using silicon bipolar transistors. Experimental measurements are given which show that the amplifier has a 3 dB cutoff frequency of 1.2 GHz and a noise figure of about 6 dB.
