Research on Best Wind Installed Capacity

This paper proposed an new method to determine the best wind power installed capacity in regional power grid.In this method,the traditional unit commitment model was improved by adding the load tracking time and rapidly spinning reserve restraint so as to apply in the power system with wind power generation.The influences of different wind power installed capacities on the economy of system were studied by optimizing the unit commitment with one-year wind energy source.Finally,the best installed capacity was determined refer to the costs of wind power.Numerical experiments show that the proposed method can effectively analyze the influences of different wind power installed capacities and help to determine the best wind installed capacity.
