The invention discloses a mobile terminal power consumption test device and test method, and relates the field of mobile terminal power consumption testing. The mobile terminal power consumption test device comprises a test host, a GPIB (General Purpose Interface Bus) and a program-controlled power supply, and is characterized in that signals given out by equipment to be tested are transmitted to the test host through a USB (Universal Serial Bus), the program-controlled power supply provides electric power for the equipment to be tested through the USB, output voltage and maximum output current of the program-controlled power supply are set through the test host; the test host reads operating voltage and operating current through the program-controlled power supply; the test host reads the output voltage and the output current of the program-controlled power supply through the GPIB; and the test host is used for sending a standby and/or wake-up command to the equipment to be tested, judging whether current and/or voltage of the equipment to be tested is abnormal or not at the standby and/or wake-up state, and writing a judgment result to the equipment to be tested. The mobile terminal power consumption test device simultaneously supports testing for single board standby power consumption and complete machine standby power consumption, the test device and the test method are simple and easy to implement, and no additional circuit support is required.
