Influence factors analysis about terminal voltage of wind turbine when single phase grounding fault occurs

The stator of the doubly fed induction generator is directly connected to the power grid, which is very sensitive to the disturbance of power grid. Wind turbine will take off the network when grid voltage drops because of single-phase fault. It will seriously impact on safe operation of power grid. This paper introduces the requirement of low voltage ride through performance of wind turbine and the effect of power grid fault on the operation of wind turbine generator. Based on the fault component analysis method, the influence factors of the single phase voltage sag of the system are analyzed. The simulation model is built on the PSCAD/EMTDC and the analysis results are verified by simulation.
