A Stochastic User Equilibrium Assignment Model for Regional Freight Multi-modal Network

This paper proposed a stochastic user equilibrium assignment model for regional multi-modal networks, together with a solution algorithm.Firstly,a multimodal network representation model was proposed, which consists of transfer nodes as well as different modal links that connect those nodes. Then, based on the behavioral foundation of Stochastic User Equilibrium,a variational inequality problem was formulated, which is equivalent to the stochastic user equilibrium assignment model for regional multi-modal networks. The proposed model considers transfer costs effect on routes choice, and simultaneously estimates flows and costs on modal links and transfer links. Finally, the streamlined diagonal algorithm was applied to solving the proposed model, and a numerical example was used to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the model.
