A hub motor driving electric wheel with an electromagnetism damping device comprises a motor stator, a motor rotor, a wheel component, a brake, a speed reducing transmission system, the electromagnetism damping device and a control system. The brake is connected with the motor stator and the motor rotor respectively. The power input end of the speed reducing transmission system is connected with the motor rotor. The power output end of the speed reducing transmission system is connected with the wheel component. The electromagnetism damping device is connected with the motor stator and the wheel component respectively. Electromagnetic damping force is adjusted through coil current, active control over damping is achieved, and accordingly the problems that the smoothness and the comfort of electric vehicle driving by a hub motor are poor, and the hub motor working environment is poor are solved.
