Application of a modified PSO algorithm in PID parameters optimization

The PID controller has such advantages as simple structure,easy realization,good control effect,and the strong robustness,and the core technology lies in the optimization of the PID parameters.Particle Swam Optimization(PSO) algorithm is an evolutionary computation method,which has the features of rapid calculation speed and simple realization.The modified PSO algorithm is built up based on basic PSO algorithm,and the idea of genetic algorithm is introduced.Emulation experiments demonstrated that the modified algorithm improves the PSO's global search capability remarkablely.
