Inverse Analysis of A Potential Problem by Symbolic Computational Language "Mathematica" : Charge Simulation Method

Abstract A potential problem and its inverse solution are considered with the symbolic computation procedure “Mathematica”. Charge simulation method (CSM), which is an indirect boundary element method, is employed. A potential problem of two dimensions is solved and the potential distribution is expressed by a symbolic function. It is shown that the inverse solution is easily carried out because the symbolic function is analytic.
