"Eigeninteresse" und "Zentralität des Wertes Gerechtigkeit für eigenes Handeln" : neue Skalen zur Psychologie der Gerechtigkeit

Berichtet wird von der Entwicklung zweier neuer Skalen zur Erfassung von "Eigeninteresse als Handlungsmotiv" und der "Zentralitat des Wertes Gerechtigkeit fur eigenes Handeln". An einer ersten Studie nahmen 394 Personen teil. Auf der Grundlage der Ergebnisse der Faktorenanalyse wurden die Skalen von jeweils 19 auf 8 Items reduziert. In einer zweiten Studie (n = 198) wurden die konvergente und diskriminante Validitat der Skalen untersucht. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass "Eigeninteresse" negativ mit der Skala "Hoffnung auf eine Gerechte Welt" und der Skala "Selbstwirksamkeit bezuglich einer Gerechten Welt" kovariiert. Daruber hinaus ist "Eigeninteresse" mit dem Bedurfnisprinzip der Verteilungsgerechtigkeit und mit Lebensalter negativ korreliert. "Eigeninteresse" ist bei Mannern tendenziell starker ausgepragt als bei Frauen. Fur "Zentralitat des Wertes Gerechtigkeit fur eigenes Handeln" wurden entgegengesetzte Zusammenhange beobachtet. Die beiden Konstrukte sind negativ (r = -.45) korreliert. The development of two new scales to assess "Self-Interest as motivation for action" and "Justice-Centrality-Ego" as motivation for own actions is reported. In a first study (n = 394) the scales were shortened from 19 to 8 items on basis of the results of a principle component analysis. In a second study (n = 198) the convergent and discriminant validity of the scales was explored. The results indicate that "Self-Interest” is negatively related to `Hope in a Just World´ and a `Self Efficacy-Just-World´ scale. In addition "Self-Interest” is negatively linked to a positive "Attitude toward the Need Principle” of distributive justice and to age. For "Justice-Centrality-Ego” opposite relations have been observed. "Self-Interest” seems to have higher average scores with men than with women. The correlation between both scales is r =-.45.
