A Possible Procedure for Analysing Quality Differentials in the Egg Market

In his recent paper Dr Bressler (1956) stated the opinion that the most pressing problem in agricultural marketing research is the analysis of quality differentials.' He felt that these were particularly important in the egg market, and that an analysis of these differentials would be useful from the point of view of the Iowan farmers. In this paper I present one possible approach to this problem, based on some rather obvious economic ideas.
