An optimizing method of ground source heat pump system and a portable electronic device implementing the same are provided to optimize the ground source heat pump system in correspondence to various operation conditions such as an installation location, a heat source or a heat sink by calculating an amount of state of refrigerant and checking an operation state of the system. In an optimizing method of a ground source heat pump system including a compressor, an indoor heat exchanger, an expansion device, a heat pump and a geothermal heat exchanger, the method includes the steps of: inputting data which can be easily obtained by a user in the ground source heat pump system to an input screen(S1); calculating an amount of state of refrigerant related to system tuning and optimization by using the data inputted in the step S1, and analyzing an operation state of the ground source heat pump system by comparing the calculated amount of state of refrigerant with information stored in a database, and setting a tuning direction(S2); and visualizing the analysis result and tuning direction and outputting them through an output screen(S3).
