Model-Based Event-Triggered Control for T-S Fuzzy Systems with Parameter Uncertainties

The MB-ETC (model-based event-triggered control) of continuous-time T-S fuzzy systems with uncertain parameters in network environment is the focus of this paper. To achieve the purpose of saving communication resources, the model-based control and event-triggered strategy are combined in this work. The control signal is generated by the states of the explicit model instead of the actual states of physical controlled plant, only when the difference between the estimated states and the actual states violates the event-triggered condition, then the actual states information of the physical plant will be transmitted through the network. Considering that it is difficult to obtain precise parameters of physical controlled plant model in engineering practice, a novel event-triggered condition concerning the parameters of the explicit model is proposed. In order to avoid the Zeno phenomenon, it is proved the periods between two successive triggered instants are always greater than zero. Finally, a simulation example is used to illustrate the effect of the model-based control for T-S fuzzy systems under the event-triggered scheme on reducing the communication frequency.
