Compound eye shaped flexible organic image sensor with a tunable visual field

We developed a compound-eye-shaped flexible organic image sensor composed of a flexible microlens array and pentacene-based organic photo sensors on a flexible substrate. Sixteen sets of a photo sensor and a microlens were aligned on a flexible film. This device worked as a flexible thin camera zooming in and out by changing its curvature. We took two images with the device on cylinders 80 mm and 40 mm in diameter to demonstrate the zooming-in and out function, respectively.
