Large Data Sets There are some known data limits to the amount of COMPUSTAT data that can be moved directly into Excel. Most users export limited amounts of data through Excellooking at one or several companies for teaching and modeling. For those faculty members interested in downloading large amounts of COMPUSTAT data for use in Excel, SAS, SPSS, etc., it is strongly recommended to export this information as an ascii text files.txt files directly via RI. The .TXT files can then be opened in almost any pc based software.
