Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor Drives Control Technology

Permanent magnet synchronous machines are known as a good candidate for hybrid electric vehicles due to their unique merits. However they have two major drawbacks i.e. high cost and small speed range. In this paper we have reviewed the various technologies that are used in the control techniques are described. Other than FOC and DTC another type of control i.e. intelligent control techniques are also described in the paper.
