Chapter 4: Cloud

Cloud is the point of high-level aggregation and processing of data in an IoT system. As indicated earlier, data aggregation and processing may take place at multiple levels in the IoT system hierarchy, but lower levels operate with limited data sets. Depending on the implementation, a cloud-level aggregation can span multiple IoT domains to provide system-level actionable insights within an enterprise or segments of an industry.
