The Design of Multivariable Fuzzy Controller Based on Genetic Algorithm

This paper presents a generalized design method for fuzzy logic controllers. The method,based on Genetic Algorithm, is a quick, model-insensitive one and requires less 'interaction with designers.It can be applied to the design of optimal or sub-optimal fuzzy logic controllers for MIMO systems. The double inverted pendulum system is employed as a test-bed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy controller design method and the simulation and practical control results are given in the last section of the paper.
