Carbureter for v-type multicylinder internal combustion engine

PURPOSE: To compact an engine by collectively disposing a downward ventilating carbureter and a transverse ventilating carbureter in a V-shaped space between horizontal and vertical cylinder blocks, thereby effectively using the V-shape dead space. CONSTITUTION: A V-type multicylinder internal combustion engine making up a major part of a power unit P of a motorcycle, having horizontal and vertical cylinder blocks CBh, CBv, is outlined in the shape of V in the side view. There appears between those cylinder blocks a V-shaped space in which a downward ventialting carbureter Cad and a transverse ventialting carbureter Cah are oppositely stored. A suction passage 23 of the carbureter Cad extends upright from a frame. A suction passage 24 of the carbureter Cah runs upwards in the forward direction of the frame. Both of the suction passages 23, 24 stand approximately symmetrically with respect to a center line N-N. COPYRIGHT: (C)1980,JPO&Japio
