Convergence proof for Goldberg's exponential series

Abstract The Goldberg presentation of the formal series for log( e x e y ) in noncommutative symbols x and y is shown to converge when x and y are replaced by normed elements in the unit sphere about zero, provided the norm defining the unit sphere is compatible with multiplication.
