La notion de sanctuaire d'élasticité et d'adaptation des structures

The notion of elasto-visco-plastic materials with elasticity sanctuary is introduced. It is assumed that the strain rate is the sum of an elastic part and a plastic part. The Hill inegality is assumed to be verified as long as the test-stress belongs to some open domain called sanctuary of elasticity. It implies that the plastic strain rate vanishes from the moment the stress belongs to this domain. The classical theorems about shakedown are extended to this type of material behaviour
