Probabilistic Logic: Some Comments and Possible use for Nonmonotonic Reasoning

Abstract This paper considers recent work by Nils Nilsson on probabilistic logic and presents a way to extend it to represent default reasoning (and subsequent nonmonotonicity). This is done in the context of facts and rules which could be uncertain. Entailment results are presented and their meaning and usefulness discussed.
