Design of Ground Penetrating Radar Transmitter Based on JESD204B Communication Protocol

Ground penetrating radar (GPR) is a non-destructive detection technology. With the development of radar technology, new requirements are placed on the performance of GPR. By analyzing the shortcomings of traditional GPR that can only transmit specific pulses, a pulse-controllable GPR transmitter scheme based on JESD204B communication protocol is proposed and a prototype is produced. The performance of GPR is improved from two aspects: detection scene and detection accuracy. The feasibility of the design is proved by experiments.
