The earth has become 0.76 °C warmer since the industrialization took up high speed. To reduce the global rise in temperature by the critical 2.00 °C requires that the content of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere will be limited to 450 (± 50) particles per million over the long term. In 2002 the total emission was 40 billion tons (Gt) and by 2030 it will be 58 Gt if nothing will be done. To save the globe the annual emission in 2030 must be 31 Gt, renewable sources can contribute by 20%. In Europe the losses coming from electrical energy quality problems exceed Euro 10 billion a year. A new wind power plant in North-Hungary having 2 MVA power with less than 50% of utilization ratio will pay back the initial cost within 10 years, its life span is 50 years. Its electrical power quality meets European standard requirements, however it is recommended to build current harmonic filters into the plant.
