Advance in Research on Integration of Real-time Adaptive Traffic Control and Dynamic Traffic Assignment

Real time Adaptive Traffic Control is one of the most effective measures of urban traffic management.It can effectively guide and adjust traffic flow so as to reduce urban traffic congestion. Traffic assignment and traffic control belong to macro and micro fields, but they affect each other. This paper reviews existing studies in the field of integrating of real time adaptive traffic control and dynamic traffic assignment, including it's advance in theoretical research.Finally, possible areas for future research are pointed out.
