ANNELERİN TUVALET EĞİTİMİ SIRASINDA KULLANDIKLARI YÖNTEMLER İLE 1-4 YAŞ ÇOCUKLARIN ALTLARINI ISLATMA DURUMLARI ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİ

Bu calismanin amaci annelerin tuvalet egitimi sirasinda kullandiklari yontemler ve bu yontemlerin 1-4 yas arasindaki cocuklarin gunduz ve gece altini islatma durumlari ile iliskisinin saptanmasidir. Calisma, Aydin il merkezinde Ekim 2006 – Haziran 2007 tarihleri arasinda kesitsel olarak gerceklestirilmistir. Calismaya randomize olarak secilen 357 anne ve cocugu alinmistir. Cocugun gelisimsel ozelliklerini dikkate alarak tuvalet egitimine baslayan annelerin cocuklarinin gunduz (OR=0.275; %95 CI=0.090-0.842) ve gece (OR=0.391; %95 CI=0.212-0.720) altini islatma olasiligi daha az bulunmustur. Egitim sirasinda ceza yontemi kullanan annelerin cocuklarinin gunduz (OR=4.626; %95 CI=1.877-11.403) ve gece (OR=5.362; %95CI=2.588-11.108) altini islatma olasiligi daha fazla bulunmustur. Egitim sirasinda alti bezlenen cocuklarin gunduz (OR=4.290; %95 CI=1.651-11.149) ve gece (OR=5.109; %95 CI=2.901-8.998) altini islatma olasiligi daha fazla bulunmustur. Bu calismada, annelerin tuvalet egitimi sirasinda sectikleri yontemler ile 1-4 yas arasindaki cocuklarin egitim sonrasi gunduz ve gece altini islatma durumlari arasinda iliski oldugu belirlenmistir. Ebe ve hemsirelerin, tuvalet egitiminde cocugun basarisini etkileyen faktorlerin farkinda olmalari onemlidir. Ebe ve hemsireler, ebeveynleri, cocugun tuvalet egitimine hazir oldugunu gosteren belirtiler ve egitim sirasindaki uygun yaklasimlar konusunda egitmelidirler.
