Multilayer Joining for Receiver Driven Multicast Congestion Control

Abstract In computer network, multicast is popular transmission scheme for multimedia application but it also have various problems such as congestion, reliability, security, connectivity, scalability, fairness etc. Congestion Control is burning issue in multicast which is tackled by many researchers. They divide the research work in source driven, receiver driven and hybrid. In this paper, we are going to proposed multilayer joining mechanism for receiver driven multicast congestion control where decision of join layers are based on adaptive throughput. We have analysis using simulation results which show that performance of purposed approach is better than existing one.
