Hexahedral Mesh Generation Algorithm Based on Two-refinement and Its Implementation

The accuracy and efficiency of the finite element analysis depends on the quantity and quality of the mesh.As for the complex 3dmodel,few effective algorithms that can automatically generate high quality hexahedral mesh have been developed.In this paper,hexahedral mesh has generated through the recognition of geometric feature,building balance octree according to the feature of model,refining transition elements using two-refinement templates,retaining the core mesh and generating boundary mesh by projecting boundary point to model surface.Laplace node smoothing technique is used to optimize the mesh quality,and Scaled Jacobian is used to measure the quality of hexahedral mesh.The experiment indicates that the mesh quality conform to the requirements of the finite element analysis.
