CURRENT INVERTER IN THE SLIDING MODE FOR INDUCTION MOTOR CONTROL

Abstract This paper presents a method for realizing motor set currents using voltage inverter with fixed DC link voltage. Certain algorithms for AC motor speed control are based on use of stator currents as control actions to the motor. Realization of such currents presents a difficult problem since classical current inverters cannot meet high requirements imposed on the system dynamics. The method described in this paper is based on introduction of current feedback with regulator operating in the sliding mode.
