An approach to extract the Chinese calligraphy's approximate skeleton

This work proposes an efficient approach to get the Chinese calligraphy's approximate skeleton. The contour information of the character is directly used. Thus the resulting skeleton can reflect the character's style properly. The accuracy of the result can be well controlled by specifying the density of sampling points of the contour.
