This paper proposes an active queue management scheme-Early Packet Discard Algorithm in OBS networks. The algorithm can control congestion through active queue management at the ingress node of OBS networks, so it can avoid the phenomenon of semi-synchrony of subnet and enhances the performance of OBS networks.
