Full scale fatigue test of the Su-22 aircraft – Assumptions, process and preliminary conclusions

The following article describes the Full Scale Fatigue Test of the Su-22 UM3K fighter-bomber. The test was carried out due to the decision of the Polish Ministry of Defense to prolong the service life for this type of aircraft. Within the article authors present the main goals of the test as well as main assumptions and simplifications which had to be done due to time and cost limitations. Furthermore the preparation and progress of each stage is described. Final section includes selected results and final remarks.
