Time-delay hyperchaos synchronisation and implications for laser diodes subject to optical feedback

A proposal is made of a general coupling function required for achieving synchronisation between a given master (drive)- slave (response) time-delay system. The approach is applied to the case of synchronisation between two laser diodes subject to optical feedback and derive the appropriate synchronisation condition.
