Synthesis Error Modeling of the Five-Axis Machine Tools Based on Multi-body System Theory

Synthesis error modeling of the five-axis numerical control(NC) machine tools is the key technique to kinematics design,precision analysis and error compensation.This article finished the synthesis error modeling of the five-axis machine tools,analyzed the influence on model of error of perpendicularity between the linear axes,and improved the modeling and identification of the thermal error.The modeling method is simple and is not affected by the structure of NC machine tools.The error calculation,error compensation and command correction can be implemented by the geometric errors model.
