Efficient Resource Management for Virtual Machine Allocation in Cloud Data Centers

The dynamic allocation of virtual machines in cloud datacenters has become one of the challenging issues in recent years. The result of underutilization and wastage could cause the poor service and degradation of performance in data centers. This paper intends to approach a new system model of resource management and propose an efficient Virtual Machine Allocation in Cloud Data Centers. Technically, the virtual machine allocation problem formalizes as a bin-packing problem and Best Fit algorithm (BF) is deployed to be an efficient resource management in cloud data center. The proposed system model will benefit in saving the underutilized physical server and response efficiently in mapping the virtual machine to the servers in data center.
