Document Delivery at the Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre

Provides a brief background to the document delivery service in India with particular reference to the Indian National Scientific Documentation Centre (INSDOC), which began its service in 1953. Analyses the service with respect to its performance, customer segments, geographical distribution of customers, subject matter availability, subject matter demand from foreign customers, age of journals requested and numerical distribution of requests across the range of journals available. Gives an account of intended future developments.
