Abstract We present here experimental results involving the incorporation of americium and curium elements in zirconia-based compounds, applicable for reactor transmutation schemes. Two materials are considered: Cubic-Stabilized Zirconia (CSZ) and the pyrochlore oxides having the formula An2Zr2O7, where An = Am, Cm.
