Design and Implementation of Evaluation System for Routing Lookup Algorithms

Routing lookup speed determines the forwarding performance of router. In recent years, in order to improve the speed of routing lookup, many novel lookup algorithms are proposed. In this paper, the authors present the evaluation criterions for routing lookup algorithms firstly. In order to evaluate the performance of lookup algorithms in detail, we design and implement an evaluation system for routing lookup algorithms and evaluate several major lookup algorithms using the system.
