A Novel Single-stage Boost Inverter With Coupled Inductors

Boost type DC-DC converter is often utilized in applications where DC input voltage is lower than AC output,to step up bus voltage.When a high Boost gain is required,the duty cycle of the Boost converter will come to its extreme,meanwhile large duty cycle also causes serious diode reverse-recovery problem.This paper presented a novel single-stage Boost inverter.By introducing a unique passive network with coupled inductors and previously forbidden shoot-through zero states,this converter can output AC voltage much higher than the DC input.The single-stage operation of the converter can lead to improved reliability,high efficiency and low cost.Theoretical analysis and experimental results were presented to verify its good performance.
