A review of recent advances in passive intermodulation and multipaction measurement techniques

Characterization of passive-inter-modulation (PIM) and nmltipaction characteristics of components and systems carrying radio frequency signals is an important element of space qualification of satellites and other space faring systems. This paper reviews the current state of the art in the techniques for measurement of PIM and multipaction. Recent advances and improvements in PIM and Midtipaction test facilities at the David Florida Laboratory (DFL) of the Canadian Space Agency (CSA) are also presented.
