SPADE: Series-Parallel Directed Acyclic Graph Evaluator.

Abstract : A model for the stochastic analysis of directed acyclic graphs is developed. These graphs represent node-activity networks where the distribution function associated with a node is assumed to be a mixture of Erlangs. The distribution function of the graph execution time is computed in a semi-symbolic form. Applications of the model for the evaluation of concurrent program execution time and to the reliability analysis of fault-tolerant systems are discussed. (Author)
