Study on the Current Situation and Development Strategies of National Sport Dance in Colleges and Universities in China

With the combination of documentary analysis,questionnaire investigation,expert interview,and mathematics statistics,this study analyzed the current situation of sport dance in 50 colleges and universities.It was concluded that,the sport dance in universities has been developing,but it is at its initial stage;technical level of sport dance teachers is still low,which can be seen as one of primary factors for the further development of sport dance in colleges and universities.More training opportunities should be provided to university teachers I order to improve their technical level;meanwhile other primary factors which influence the development of sport dance in universities are the compiling of teaching material,teaching outline,the set up of correlative courses,and organization of competitions between universities.
