Modeling and simulation of new digital control for power conversion systems

The utilization of digital control techniques to regulate the output voltage of DC/DC converters is being considered more and more. In this paper, a new digital control is proposed. Results of an investigation into modeling and simulating a DC/DC buck-converter using voltage positioning (VP) are reported. Simulation, in the Matlab/Simulink environment, permits evaluation of the impact of this issue on DC/DC converter performance and provides insight into the design and control of a DC/DC converter with a microcontroller. Experimental results match the simulation model.
