Triple band frequency reconfigurable antenna for wireless application

Recent trends in wireless communications systems have imposed the need of dynamic frequency reconfigurability in antenna design. This paper presents a novel technique of achieving triple band reconfigurability using PIN diode in the 5-8.5 GHz frequency range on a simple square slot antenna. The return loss greater than -10 dB and VSWR <; 2 is observed in desired frequency bands. HFSS Ansoft is used for simulation of this design.
