El aprendizaje de la lectoescritura en los niños y niñas sordos

Deaf students finds serious difficulties in the learning of reading and writing owed to their auditory deficit (and its influence in the acquisition of the oral language) and their limited knowledge of the world around them. The learning of reading and writing is crucial for these students as these skills are a source of knowledge as well as communication tools. From the school we should choose pedagogic models which can be adapted to students and, therefore, to deploy any help that can favour the learning of reading and writing by deaf children.
